VERSION 4.8 RELEASED!
We are proud to announce the release this month of Version 4.8 of Welford Chart Notes - 32-Bit and SQL Version. Some of the new features in version 4.8 include:

@EstimatedCreatinineClearance: gives the patient's estimated creatinine clearance using the Cockroft-Gault equation, based on the patient's age, sex, height, and serum creatinine.·
@LatestCreatinineClearance: gives either the patient's most recent measured creatinine clearance, or most recent estimated creatinine clearance, whichever is more recent.·
@MODRDCreatinineClearance: gives the patient's estimated creatinine clearance using the Modification of Diet in Renal Disease formula, based on the patient's age, sex, race, and serum creatinine.·
Appointment Scheduler Grid Mode: shows a week's worth of appointments at a glance, with open slots appearing in white.·
Appointment Scheduler Right Click to Change Appointment Completion: change an appointment's Completion status by pressing the right mouse button.·
Appointment Scheduler Use Mouse to Move Appointments: turn this capability on or off as an Option.·
Appointment Scheduler Warn Before 2 Appointments For Same Patient Option: warns if you are about to schedule a second appointment for the same patient, thus avoiding unnecessary duplicate appointments.·
Batch Print by Patient Paginate: automatically prints page numbers when you print out a patient's record.·
Creatinine Clearance Report: shows the patient's most recent measured and estimated creatinine clearance.·
Datebook Noted: mark a Datebook item as Noted without having to first open the Datebook Editor.·
Dose Checker for Renal and Liver Disease: the Adult Dose Checker now adjusts its advice based upon the patient's renal function and whether or not the patient has liver disease.·
Flowsheet Letters: automatically prints letters to patients informing them of their test results and advice, extracted from Flowsheets.·
In-Box Providers Ignore if Sent: you can direct the In-Box to show you all items sent to you, regardless of who the patient's Primary MD is.·
Medication Editor Mark All/None: mark all or none of a patient's Medications in the Medication Editor at once, before printing prescriptions.·
Medication Editor Snapshot Highlight Changes: the Snapshot feature now can jump to the next time the patient was started on a drug, taken off a drug, or had a drug dose changed, which can help you to pinpoint possible causes of adverse drug reactions.·
Name Editor Race: the Name Editor lets you record the patient's Race.·
Name Editor Race Default Option: you can specify a default Race for new patients.·
Prescription Writer Amount and Month in Words Options: you can choose to have the quantity of the prescription and the month of the date written out in words.·
Prescription Writer Round to 90 Days Option: you can choose to have the Prescription Writer automatically fill in a 90-day quantity for prescriptions.·
Prescription Writer Top Margin in Hundredths and Prescription Writer Vertical Skip Option: you can fine tune where on the prescription blank the program starts printing.·
Program Log Sort by Column: you can sort the data in the Program Log, to more quickly locate patterns.·
Referral Provider Print: you can print out information about a Referring Provider (e.g. to hand to a patient whom you are referring to that Provider).·
Security Detailed Assign: you can fine tune exactly which program functions and subfunctions each user is permitted to read, add to, edit, delete, print, etc. This has far more granularity than the original Security Assign function, which is still available for users who prefer it.·
Visiter GoTo HIPAA Authorization and Referrals: you can jump to these functions from the Visiter.·
Vocabulary Search Print: you can print out on paper the results of a vocabulary search.·
Writer Happy Birthday Auto-Open Window: the program automatically reminds you if today is a patient's birthday.JULY QUARTERLY UPDATE RELEASED
This month we are releasing the July, 2005 Quarterly update. The update includes new medications, diagnostic terms, drug interactions, drug dosing information, spelling words, drug-disease Alerts, Web Links, algorithms, medication test reminders, cross-reacting allergies, and dozens of new patient education brochures. This update has over 6400 drug interactions with over 2300 references, over 11,000 Alerts, over 9800 Web Links, and over 1300 Brochures, including new or revised Brochures on clofarabine, darifenacin, entecavir, eszopiclone, ibandronate, palifermin, ziconotide, acne, acute porphyria, diabetes mellitus, insomnia, intracerebral hemorrhage, obesity, osteoporosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, psoriasis, renal stones, serotonin syndrome, vasovagal syncope, viral hepatitis, whooping cough, and many others.
HOW DO I GET THIS NEW VERSION?
