VERSION 4.4 RELEASED!

We are proud to announce the release this month of Version 4.4 of Welford Chart Notes - 32-Bit and SQL Version. Some of the new features in version 4.4 include:

· @File: automatically inserts the contents of a file (such as Instant Medical History data) into a document from your Template.

· @LabSince_Alphabetized: organizes lab results alphabetically instead of chronologically.

· Admissions: keep track of which parts of the chart are part of a hospital admission (SQL version only).

· Attache Import One Item: import just a single data item out of an Attache file.

· HIPAA Acknowledgment: records when patients acknowledge viewing your Notice of Privacy Practices, or refuse to acknowledge it.

· HIPAA Rule Reminder: reminds you when a patient has not yet acknowledged receipt of your Notice of Privacy Practices (nor refused it).

· HIPAA Record Release Authorization Log: records each time you release patient records to another party and need to keep a record of such release.

· Lab Book Flexible Results and Units Option: lets the Lab Book Importer accept test results with incompatible units and with textual results for numeric tests.

· Lab Book Page Up and Up Arrow Option: stop the Lab Book from automatically looking backward in time when you press <Pg Up> or <up arrow> from the top of a list.

· Lab Book Print Alphabetized: prints lab results alphabetized by test name rather than chronologically.

· Parser Skip Last Lab Option: skips mentions of previously stored lab results when parsing a note.

· Parser Skip List Recognizes Test Names: the Parser Skip List can accept test names in addition to names of medications and diagnoses.

· Pregnancy Order Warning Option: warns if you are about to order a test involving radiation exposure on a woman of childbearing potential.

· Prescription Writer All but Top and Labels Option: prints everything the but heading at the top and the labels on the prescription, to match a preprinted prescription form.

· Program Log Shows Visits Filed, Printed, and Viewed: lets you trace for a patient whenever a visit was filed, printed, or viewed, by whom, for what purpose, etc.

· Provisional Notes Authors: lets you restrict the authors whose Provisional Notes appear in your In-Box, to reduce clutter in your In-Box if you are in a larger practice.

· Recall Editor: edit information about patient Recalls.

· Rule Reminder Recognizes "Last <Test Name> Before/After <Date>": Rule Reminder System can analyze Rules in this format.

· Spelling Checker Show Misspellings in Red Option: control whether the Writer shows misspellings in red or not; turning this off reduces flicker.

· Template Wordlist All, None, Clear, Multiple Select: additional buttons to make use of Template Wordlists easier.

· Template Wordlist Editor Drag and Drop: reorder Template Wordlists choices using the mouse.

· Template Wordlist Size Retained: adjust the size and position of the Template Wordlist window to suit your taste.

· Timer Toolbar Buttons: buttons to make it quick and easy to start, stop, pause, and resume the Timer.

· Vital Signs Form: enter the patient's vital signs and chief complaint in an easy-to-use form; the information is then automatically inserted into the Writer.

· Write\Quit Note command: leave the Writer without storing a note using the Main Menu or mouse.

The on-screen help now includes over 1200 help screens, with over 1400 pages of information. It now includes an extensive glossary of all @functions with examples and links to related @functions. There are also two new help videos.
