VERSION 3.8 RELEASED!
We are proud to announce the release this month of the new version 3.8 of Welford Chart Notes for Windows 32-Bit. It is completely compatible with previous versions of Welford Chart Notes for Windows 32-Bit.
Version 3.8 has the following new features:
· @functions: the program has new @functions, enabling you to access patient information and embed it inside your documents. For example, @MedNum looks up the date when the patient received a medication for the nth time; e.g. @Pneumovax1 is the date when the patient received his first dose of Pneumovax. This can be very handy for Templates that show when vaccines had been given.
· Batch Print by Patient in Batch Importer Format: lets you export a chart to another user of Welford Chart Notes, who can then import that patient's chart. This makes it handy to share your chart with another physician, such as a consultant.
· Childhood Immunization Template Library File: creates a table showing when a child was given each immunization.

· Provisional Notes Stored in Attache: provisionally stored notes are now recorded in the Attache.
· Recall Print Skip Lines Above Address: lets you skip lines when printing recall postcards to better position the address.
· Spelling Checker Includes Contraction Meaning: the Spelling Checker shows the Meaning if the misspelling is a Contraction.
· Template None Button: erases all of a user's Templates.
· Template Wordlist Autocapitalization: autocapitalizes Template Wordlist entries if they begin a sentence.
· Template Wordlists Unique to Each User: each user now has his or her own separate Wordlists.
· Visit Summary No Template Button: disconnects the Visit Summary from a previously stored Template.
· Visit View Any Shows Visit Type: Visit Viewer shows you the type of visit (such as Physical, Telephone, Note, or your own user-defined types). The Visit Writer Auto-Open window also now shows visit types. This makes it easier to pick out, for example, the most recent physical exam.
· Writer Procedure Code Duplication Permitted: A single visit can have the same CPT code associated with it more than once. This is useful if you perform a procedure more than once on the same visit, such as removal of a skin tumor.
Version 3.8 has many other new features and enhancements. See the updated User's Manual for further details. Version 3.8 is only being distributed on CD-ROM.

Along with version 3.8, we are also releasing the July Quarterly update.
