VERSION 4.3 RELEASED!
We are proud to announce the release this month of Version 4.3 of Welford Chart Notes - 32-Bit and SQL Version. The program now has over 1 million lines of source code. Many of the improvements in version 4.3 are "under the hood", providing faster performance and greater ease of use. Some of the new features in version 4.3 include:
· @BMI (gives patient's body mass index); @IdealBodyWeight (gives patient's ideal body weight); @Overweight (reports whether the patient is underweight, normal weight, overweight, obese, etc. based on ideal body weight).
· @LastAssessment: gives the assessment portion of the previous note; include this in your Templates and you won't have to type the assessment each time, just edit the changes.
· @LastPlan: gives the plan portion of the previous note; include this in your Templates and you won't have to type the plan portion each time, just edit the changes.
· @ReferByNameAddress and @ReferToNameAddress: lists the physician, practice, street, city, state, and zip code of the referring physician in a single @function.
· Appointments\Next Appointments shows Previous Appointments: you can see all of the patient's previous appointments at the same time as viewing upcoming appointments.
· Expander Default to Overwrite Option: when Parsing an Expander, you can have the default choice be Overwrite instead of Append.
· Expander Maximum Length 65,500 Characters: instead of the previous limit of 15,000 characters.
· In-Box Comments: append notes to In-Box items for other users to view when you forward these items to them.
· In-Box Indexing: makes In-Box performance much faster, especially on busy network systems.
· In-Box Journal: see when each In-Box item was sent and noted.
· In-Box Sending and Noting: you can forward In-Box items to other users (and these same items from elsewhere in the program; e.g. you can Send a Lab Book result to someone's In-Box) and you can remove it from your In-Box by noting that you have reviewed it.
· Lab Book Importer to Provider's In-Box Option: lab results imported from the Lab Book Importer can be sent directory to that patient's Provider's In-Box.
· Lab Book Parsing Recognizes Commas: numeric test results in a sentence can be separated by commas (in addition to semicolons and double-markers).
· Name Editor Code Number Up To 30 Characters: the Code Number field in the Name Editor can hold up to 30 characters.
· Name Editor Importer Log Mode, Double-Check, and Start At: Log Mode runs the Name Editor Importer unattended, recording any error messages in a Log file. Deselecting Double-Check speeds up Name Editor Importer performance. Start At lets you start the Name Editor Importer in the middle of a file if it gets interrupted before its completion.
· Parse Lab Book Comments Option: puts text after a numeric test result in the Comments field for that result.
· Provisional Notes Authors: (SQL Version) limit the authors whose notes appear in your Provisional Notes list. This is very handy at sites with many users.
· Provisional Notes Days: limit the number of days displayed in the Provisional Notes.
· Rebuild Indexes (SQL Version): rebuilds the Microsoft SQL Server indexes for faster performance.
· Security Detailed Program Log: shows each data item that was added, modified, deleted, and printed, along with which workstation the user was working at. You can search this database to pinpoint who edited any data item in the program and to trace hackers.
· Security Roles: create groups of users with similar security priviliges, then assign the access permissions for one member of each group and those permissions are assigned to all of the other users in that group. This saves considerable time when assigning security access levels at sites with many users.
· Writer Verify Storage Option: gives you one additional chance to abort storing a note before it becomes permanent.
